The footage to gather

  1. The starting task
  2. The uninterrupted demonstration
  3. The visible result

Give each moment a little breathing room. Get close enough to show the detail, and keep the original clips handy.

Plan a narrated presentation

Opening

Explain the decision the presentation should help someone make.

Middle

Give each scene one supporting point and keep charts, dates and labels readable.

Ending

Summarise the trade-off and identify the next decision owner.

Review it for product demos

Keep cause and effect intact and do not edit around a limitation that affects the claim.

Ask yourself: Would the argument still make sense without decorative visuals?

Watch it as if you were seeing it for the first time. If something is unclear, try a different cut or add the missing shot.
